WDG HSS 540 R2R™
Solvent-Free Silicone Coating
Utilizing recycled EPDM roofing material for less environmental impact and
reduced carbon footprint, HSS 540 R2R™ (Roof-to-Roof) provides hail and impact
resistance, as well as excellent elongation and UV protection.
All of the coatings listed above are single-component, moisture-curing
silicone rubber roof coating systems designed for use on sprayed-in-place
polyurethane foam. These coatings can be spray-applied or hand-rolled if the
job is small enough. Smallest repairs can be applied with a paint brush.
Silicones are inorganic by nature and thus imperceptible to UV radiation.
Unlike almost any other coating, silicone coatings do not contain UV
stabilizers. Especially lower cost systems may not contain enough UV
stabilizers, with resulting short service lives often not even exceeding
five years. Properly applied, silicones may last for 20 years and more.
Also, silicones cure fast. In case of changing weather, even heavy rain on
coatings as new as 1 hour will not cause runoff. By comparison, many
acrylics truly require a minimum of 24 hours between application and the
first rain. Silicones offer excellent tensile strength and elongation and
perform well in extremely cold as well as very hot weather. Many customers
broadcast granules into the freshly applied silicones for an even tougher
roof.
WDG HP 465 Silicone Coating
Basic Uses:
HP 465 Silicone Roof Coating is a one-component, moisture-curing silicone rubber
roof coating system designed for use on sprayed-in-place polyurethane foam. The
coating is rolled or spray-applied and touch-up work can be done with a brush or
roller. The system provides long-term protection because it resists weathering,
aging, oxidation, wind-driven sand, rain and snow, the effects of ozone,
ultraviolet radiation and the temperature extremes typically found on roofs.
Composition and Materials:
HP 465 Silicone Roof Coating is a dispersion of silicone rubber. This coating is
a one-part, ready-to-use material that can be applied easily to a dry,
frost-free surface, and cures at normal temperature in 1 to 3 hours by reacting
with moisture in the air.
Sizes:
HP 465 Silicone Roof Coating is available in 55 gallon and 5 gallon containers.
Storage and Shelf Life:
HP 465 Silicone Roof Coating has a shelf life of 12 months from date of
manufacture. Refer to product packaging.
